From afar, my expectations for a visit to Glasgow had probably been negatively colored by having watched Trainspotting one time too many (and yes, I know, that was set in Edinburgh, not in Glasgow, but still). So I was pleasantly surprised to see how interesting the city can be and how dynamic it is made to look by its new buildings.
