The Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi is clearly designed to impress the visitor and probably inspire religious sentiments.
During the day it is a display of whiteness meant to replicate the Taj Mahal on a grander scale. At night, it takes on colors that make it look a bit like a still from the Aladdin movie. I’m not sure I love it, but it does make for a great photographic subject.
